All our umbrellas are lovingly made in London and each one is hand finished to the last detail. The classic grey canopy is manually cut and assembled over a hand made frame with a solid beech wood shaft and a smooth scorched maple wood handle, giving this umbrella a luxurious feel with classic British styling. And as we love a little twist in everything we do, it has a gorgeous contrasting navy blue tie! All the components come from reliable and skilled suppliers. The wooden shafts are made in Cheshire using FSC Beechwood, then stained and finished in Kent. The maple wood is from North America and is bent, scorched and lacquered in Italy, while the polyester fabric is sourced from Japan. From design to manufacturing, we are keeping our carbon footprint as low as possible and we take it very seriously. Our furthest manufacturer is just over 500 miles away from our London studio. Our nearest artisan workshop is under 8 miles away and we are working with 3 workshops based in London! We have worked hard to source local mills, workshops, and leathersmiths with whom we have built long-standing relationships, supporting the British manufacturing heritage as well as doing our best to reduce our carbon footprint. We are all about creating beautiful accessories with the planet in mind!
