Leather Care: Moisturize With time and handling, leather can lose moisture and oils, leading to dryness, flaking, and wrinkling. To keep the leather supple, it should be moisturized regularly. We recommend using a quality leather balsam containing a blend of natural waxes and oils such as beeswax, jojoba oil, and avocado oil. Dip an application sponge or a soft cloth into the balsam and rub it gently over the bag. If the leather doesnā€™t absorb it all, wipe off the excess with a clean cloth. This should be done once every month or two. Time Resistance bags come pre-treated with a healthy coating of balsam, so you can start using them right away. Avoid Water Water can be detrimental to leather by robbing it of natural oils and causing discoloration and wrinkles. If youā€™ve been diligent with moisturizing and have chosen a balsam that contains beeswax, it will act as a barrier against moderate amounts of water. However, avoid exposing your bag to heavy rain. If your bag does get soaking wet, do not force-dry it with heat. Wipe it with a dry cloth and let it dry slowly at room temperature, ensuring it maintains its shape during the drying process. Extra Tips: Cover Up: Store your bag in the original dust bag, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Stuff it to maintain shape, but avoid using newspapers as they can smear. Air it every few weeks to prevent mold. No Alcohol: Avoid products containing alcohol or acetone as they can damage the leather. Stretch Marks: Do not overstuff your bag as leather stretches out but does not revert back. Humidity can accelerate this process. Smells: If your bag absorbs odors, place an open container of baking soda inside and leave it overnight to absorb the smells. Watch in awe as your bag grows more beautiful with age, becoming a true reflection of your journey.

Made from unlined, Tuscan vegetable tanned leather, with internal zip pocket and 3 card slots. Solid brass fittings throughout. All our bags are made in our UK workshop by a member of our small team. Vegetable tanned leather is a traditional low impact method of tanning using vegetable tannins and tree bark. Not only is the production method sustainable but it produces a quality of leather that can last longer than a lifetime if looked after properly, making it the ultimate in slow fashion. Made from sustainable, vegetable tanned leather from Italy, with solid brass hardware. Vegetable tanned leather will age with grace, and develop a patina as it is used. This is a natural material so your bag may have a varied texture. Some colours may transfer if worn against light clothing. Solid brass will oxidise slowly over time, but can be brought back to a shiny finish with a brass cleaner and soft cloth. Take care not to spill the cleaner on the leather as it may stain. We provide a complimentary water repellent leather cleaning balm with all our bags, which cleans and replenishes the original softness and handle of the leather whilst providing a degree of water resistance. Made from a blend of natural waxes, oils & lanolin, this special sap helps protect our bags against daily rigours and the harsh elements. A little goes a long way so only put a small amount on a soft lint-free cloth and apply in a circular motion. Leave to soak in for a few minutes then gently buff the excess off with a clean cloth. Always avoid getting leather wet, but if you do get caught in the rain allow your bag to dry naturally in a cool, airy environment, not on a radiator. When completely dry, apply the leather balm following the instructions to restore suppleness.
