EastWest Fab Four Virtual Instrument, Download
Recreate the Sound of The BeatlesNo expense was spared finding the same kind of period instruments, rare authentic EMI and other recording equipment the Beatles used to create their sound. Well over a million dollars worth of instruments, amplifiers, microphones, recording desks (including very rare EMI REDD tube and TG12345), outboard equipment (including Fairchild limiters and EMI RS124 modified Altec compressors), and Studer J-37 tube multi-tracks were used in this production. If you are a film/tv/game composer, or a musician/producer looking for sounds not found in other collections, this is it. Blending these unique and sometimes bizarre sounds with today's music should enable you to produce something truly fab!Exact Recreations of the Original SoundMost of the sounds in Fab Four would be impossible to create without the original (and incredibly rare) equipment. For example, the "revostortion" guitar sound was created by feeding a Epiphone Casino guitar into one EMI REDD 47 preamp, and the output into a second EMI REDD 47 preamp (the exact design from the EMI/Abbey Road engineers). The same kind of limiters (Fairchild) and compressors (rare EMI RS124 modified Altec) were used for dynamics control, and everything was recorded through vintage microphones (Neumann, AKG, Cole, and STC) and into a J-37 tube 4-track.GuitarsThis collection contains some of the most iconic period guitars ever created, including the 1957 Les Paul Goldtop, 1956 Fender Stratocaster, 1951 Fender Telecaster, 1956 Epiphone Casino, the Gibson SG,1966 Gibson J200 Acoustic, 966 Martin D28 Acoustic, The Gretsch Tennessean and 1959 Gretch Country Gentlemen. Each are played through a Fender Tan Showman, Vox AC30, Vox Deviant, or other amplifiers favored for their unique color.KeysClavioline, electric harpsichord, Hammond B3 organ, Lowery Heritage Deluxe Organ, Steinway B piano, harmonium, and original flute samples from the Mellotron all come together to make this the most detailed collection of period keys available. Use any combination of these instruments, and you'll infuse the sound of The Beatles directly into your music.BassA nuanced collection of classics like the 1963 Hofner 500 and 1964 Rickenbacker 4001S, perfect for a nicely rounded pluck and gentle taper on the sustain. The basses boast a playful contour that sits perfectly with the drums.DrumsNot too heavy, with a punch that's just right. The recordings and processing are ultra-tight, so you can recreate the classic Beatles drum sound right out of the box.MiscEverything that simply couldn't fit into the other collections sitar, tabla, swarmandel, aux percussion, and a vintage recording of a screaming crowd of girls licensed by the BBC a perfect tribute to the heartthrobs of classic rock.
