Epson T596100 HDR 350ml Photo Black Resin Pigment Ink f/7890, 7900, 9890 & 9900

After years of innovation, Epson introduces the Stylus Pro 7900 (24-inch) and Stylus Pro 9900 (44-inch), the brand's pioneering ten-color printers. These models are armed with the groundbreaking Epson UltraChrome HDR (High Dynamic Range) ink technology, a high-density resin-coated pigment ink formulation. This revolutionary ink set includes orange and green, significantly broadening the color spectrum and enhancing digital printing capabilities, particularly in the package and remote proofing market segments. The UltraChrome HDR ink technology features a three-level black ink system - photo black, light black, and light light black - along with cyan, light cyan, vivid magenta, vivid light magenta, yellow, orange, and green. An on-board matte black is also included and can be auto-switched with photo black. This advanced generation of UltraChrome HDR ink offers a multitude of benefits. It provides reduced graininess in skin tone areas, smoother tonal transitions from shadows to highlights, and exceptional short-term color stability. It also ensures outstanding long-term lightfastness, highly precise color control with neutral black and white, and high gloss levels on water-resistant prints.Epson's UltraChrome HDR ink also contributes to cost efficiency with the introduction of two high-capacity ink cartridges (350 and 700ml), leading to a lower cost per milliliter of ink. These high-capacity cartridges also lessen the frequency of cartridge replacements, promoting more unattended printing. The Stylus Pro 7900 and Stylus Pro 9900 are equipped with Epson's MicroPiezo TFP (Thin Film Piezo) print head, which has 360 nozzles per inch for each of the ten active ink cartridges. This technology, combined with Epson's Ink Repelling Coating for the print head and Automatic Ink Detection (AID) system, helps to prevent downtime by minimizing and detecting nozzle clogging in advance, and reducing paper waste during the cleaning process.Epson's AID technology employs a sensor near the print head that monitors the electrical charges on the ink droplets as they are fired. If a lower than expected electrical charge is detected, indicating insufficient ink firing, the print head cleaning process is automatically initiated.Compared to current 8-color 24-inch and 44-inch printers, the Stylus Pro 7900 and Stylus Pro 9900 offer a dramatic increase in print speed. The Stylus Pro 7900 can complete an A1 (720x720dpi) sellable quality print on Epson's Premium Glossy Photo Paper in an impressive 5 minutes.
