Alain, then a Parisian botanist, met Claudie while visiting the scenic Seine Valley. Alain thought the scenery was beautiful but that it paled in comparison to Claudies beauty, and the two fell in love. Always sharing a passion for Champagne, in 1985 they decided to create their own and combined their two last names to form Cottet-Dubreuil Champagne. Now, their daughter Claire manages the winery and continues the tradition of producing incredible Champagne. She grew up in and around the vineyards and made them her passion. It is this passion that translates to the love and care that goes into growing pristine grapes and making extraordinary Champagne. The boutique tradition of Champagnes lives on in Claire.
