Direct exposure to strong light can cause any leather color to fade, so always protect leather from direct sunlight and other intense light sources. It is also advised that leather products be kept away from any generators of heat. Periodic dusting and vacuuming is recommended for normal maintenance of leather. Blot spills as quickly as possible. Because of the light protective coating, most spills will bead up for a short time, so it is important to blot them quickly and let the area air-dry. Most modern leathers do not need OfeedingO or oiling to maintain softness. We would not advocate the use of proprietary care products, but if they are used, it is essential that they are recommended for use on the specific type of leather being cleaned and should be tested first in a concealed area for any adverse effects before treating the remainder of the furniture. However, use of these products could cause long term damage to the leather that would not immediately be evident. Note: Always test-clean on a hidden area to confirm results. With any leather, there can be some transfer of color when applying a slightly dampened white cloth to stubborn stains.
