Epson T596A00 HDR 350ml Orange Resin Pigment Ink, for Stylus Pro 7900 & 9900
An innovative addition to Epson's line of high-quality printing solutions, the UltraChrome HDR 350 ml. Orange High Density Resin Pigment Based Ink is specifically designed for the Stylus Pro 7900 (24 inch) and Stylus Pro 9900 (44 inch) inkjet printers. These printers, Epson's premier ten-color models, are powered by the groundbreaking UltraChrome HDR (High Dynamic Range) ink technology. This unique ink set incorporates vibrant shades of orange and green, significantly broadening the color spectrum and enhancing digital printing capabilities, particularly in the package and remote proofing market segments. The UltraChrome HDR ink is a high-density resin-coated pigment ink formulation that includes a three-level black ink technology - photo black, light black, and light light black. It also features cyan, light cyan, vivid magenta, vivid light magenta, yellow, orange, and green. An on-board matte black is also included, which can be auto-switched with photo black. The UltraChrome HDR ink is engineered to deliver superior results, including reduced graininess in skin tone areas, smoother tonal gradation from shadows to highlights, and exceptional short-term color stability. It also offers outstanding long-term lightfastness, highly accurate color control with neutral black and white, and high gloss levels on water-resistant prints.Economically, this ink contributes to reduced costs through the introduction of two high-capacity ink cartridges (350 and 700ml), leading to a lower cost per milliliter of ink. The high-capacity cartridges also minimize the frequency of cartridge replacements, promoting greater unattended printing. The Stylus Pro 7900 and Stylus Pro 9900 feature Epson's MicroPiezo TFP (Thin Film Piezo) print head with 360 nozzles per inch for each of the ten active ink cartridges. Epson's Ink Repelling Coating for the print head and Automatic Ink Detection (AID) system work together to prevent downtime by detecting and minimizing nozzle clogging, and eliminating paper waste during the cleaning process. Epson's AID technology employs a sensor near the print head that monitors the electrical charges on the ink droplets as they are fired. If a lower than expected electrical charge is detected, indicating insufficient ink was fired, the print head cleaning process is automatically initiated. Compared to current 8-color 24 inch and 44 inch printers, the Stylus Pro 7900 and Stylus Pro 9900 offer dramatically increased print speed. For instance, the Stylus Pro 7900 can complete an A1 (720x720dpi) sellable quality print on Epson's Premium Glossy Photo Paper in an impressive 5 minutes.
