Samsung is set to release its highly anticipated One UI 7 update on April 7, 2025. This update introduces a fresh design, smart AI features, and enhanced customization options for a wide range of Galaxy smartphones and tablets. While the beta version has been available for select models, the stable build will now be available globally.
The stable One UI 7 update will begin rolling out on April 7, 2025, starting with the Galaxy S24 series. Other flagship models will receive the update in phases, with the rollout varying by device model and region.
To check if One UI 7 is available for your device, navigate to Settings > Software Update > Download and install. If the update is available, it will download automatically. Ensure your device is connected to Wi-Fi and has sufficient battery charge before starting the update.
Eligible Devices for One UI 7 Update
Samsung has listed the following devices to receive the One UI 7 update in the first wave:
• Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra
• Galaxy S24 FE
• Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra
• Galaxy S23 FE
• Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6
• Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5
• Galaxy Tab S10 and Tab S9 series
• Galaxy A55
The Galaxy A35, launched alongside the A55, is not on the initial list but may be included later. Some budget devices like the Galaxy A06 5G are already shipping with One UI 7 pre-installed.
One UI 7 offers a refreshed visual design with colorful app icons and improved readability. Notifications are now pill-shaped and larger, and the Quick Panel features updated toggles and a new volume bar. The interface separates notifications and the control panel based on swipe direction. New customization tools allow users to personalize widgets and buttons. The “Now Bar” feature provides useful controls based on activity, such as listening to music or making calls. Galaxy AI tools like Writing Assist and Call Transcripts in 20 languages have been introduced. Additionally, a new USB protection feature enhances security by blocking access when the phone is locked.
